Beschreibung: Every expedition and mountain tour starts the same way a startup does: with a plan, a team, and conditions you can’t fully control. From there, both worlds demand the same thing: to keep moving, when things stop making sense. To go the extra mile, even when discomfort kicks in. In this 45-minute talk, Davide Guzzardi, founder of Exped Tribe Switzerland, a mountain guiding and expedition company based in Central Switzerland, draws a line between life at altitude and life in a startup. Comparing experienced situations on the mountain and how both worlds can learn from each other, to become more resilient. Bad weather doesn’t care about timelines, likewise as a delayed product launch or missed series A funding. Yet we adjust, push on, and find out what we´re made of. Not on the good days, but on the hard ones. Illustrated with images from expeditions across the globe, this talk is our honest take on what startup life feels like, and how the mountains gave us a surprisingly practical framework for getting through it.
